Privacy
How the publication handles reader information, contact messages, analytics, advertising choices, and privacy requests.
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Information we collect
We collect information readers provide directly, such as names, email addresses, message contents, correction details, source links, and business inquiries sent through email or contact channels. We also receive ordinary technical information that helps operate the site, including device type, browser data, approximate location signals, pages viewed, referring URLs, and security-related request data.
We do not ask readers to create an account to read public stories. If a reader subscribes to a newsletter or sends a correction request, that information is used for the purpose connected to the request.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to messages, review correction requests, protect the site from abuse, understand readership trends, maintain publication operations, improve page performance, and manage newsletter or contact preferences. We do not sell personal information.
Publisher records may be handled by SkinsIndia Solutions for lawful business, security, compliance, and communication purposes connected with Pagalishor Current.
Advertising, cookies, and your choices
Some editorial pages display advertising served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to help serve the ads it displays on this site.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a reader's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to readers based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
Readers may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or, in supported regions, www.youronlinechoices.eu. For more information on how Google uses data and cookies in advertising, see Google's advertising policies.
Where consent choices are required, such as for readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions with applicable laws, those choices are presented through Google's certified consent messaging before personalized ads are served. You can reopen and change those choices at any time through Privacy and cookie settings.
Advertising scripts are kept away from sign-in, registration, password recovery, search, legal, and publisher-trust pages. If a privacy control is opened from an ad-free page, the site may route you to a page where Google's consent message can be displayed.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required to meet legal, security, and accounting obligations. Correction and contact messages are retained while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can document accuracy decisions. Newsletter details are kept until a reader unsubscribes. Ordinary technical and security logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of the data we hold, and to withdraw consent for advertising personalization at any time. Readers in India have these rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have corresponding rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR.
To exercise any of these rights, email desk@pagalishor.in with enough detail for us to identify your data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
