The AAI NER apprentice deadline is Tuesday, July 28, 2026 for 95 one-year training seats at Airports Authority of India locations across the North Eastern Region. The intake has 31 Graduate Apprentice, 31 Diploma Apprentice and 33 ITI Trade Apprentice positions.

This deadline applies only to the North Eastern Region notice, Advertisement No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NER. The seven-page AAI apprentice notification states that candidates must use NATS for graduate or diploma seats and Apprenticeship India for ITI trades.

AAI NER apprentice deadline falls on July 28

The official notice gives July 28 as the last date for receipt of applications. It does not show a late-fee window or a correction period after that date. Candidates who meet the regional and qualification rules need to complete the appropriate portal process today and retain proof that the establishment application was submitted.

A registration profile alone is not the same as an application to AAI. After signing in, the candidate must find Airports Authority of India - RHQ NER, Guwahati and apply to the relevant training position. The 95 AAI apprentice posts span seven fields

Civil engineering has 18 seats: eight graduate and 10 diploma. Electrical engineering has 20, divided equally between the two qualification levels. Electronics, IT and computer science account for 16 seats, while mechanical engineering has eight.

The remaining 33 are ITI trade seats: seven Fitter, 12 Mechanic Motor Vehicle and 14 Electrician positions. Applicants should choose only a field supported by the exact degree, diploma or ITI/NCVT certificate held.

North East airport apprenticeships have a domicile limit

The notice restricts eligibility to Indian nationals from the North Eastern Region. It names Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh through the airports or locations covered by the intake.

Training may be allocated at Assam, Agartala, Imphal, Shillong, Dimapur, Tezu, Lengpui or Hollongi/Itanagar locations. The allocated airport, station or unit is final, and the notification says requests to change the training place will not be entertained.

Graduate and diploma candidates need recent qualifications

Graduate applicants need a full-time regular four-year engineering degree in a listed stream recognised by AICTE, while diploma applicants need a full-time regular three-year diploma. The notification says graduate and diploma candidates must have passed in 2024 or later.

ITI candidates need the relevant ITI/NCVT certificate from a recognised institution. Applicants who completed or discontinued an earlier apprenticeship at the same qualification level, or who have at least one year of post-qualification apprenticeship or job experience, are not eligible under the stated conditions.

Age is measured on July 28

The base age range is 18 to 26 years as on July 28, 2026. Government of India relaxation applies to eligible SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates, but the certificate and category claim must satisfy the notification and portal rules.

Date of birth should match the school, identity and portal records. An applicant should not alter the age entry to fit the range or rely on an unsupported category selection; certificate verification follows shortlisting.

Stipends differ by qualification level

Graduate apprentices receive Rs 15,000 per month, combining AAI and government DBT shares. Diploma apprentices receive Rs 12,000, while ITI trade apprentices receive Rs 9,600 from AAI's stated share.

These are apprenticeship stipends for one year, not regular AAI salaries. The notice does not promise employment after training. NATS and NAPS application routes are different

Graduate and diploma candidates must use the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal and find the AAI RHQ NER establishment. ITI candidates must use the Apprenticeship India portal and the NAPS establishment ID.
