## Graduates aged 20 to 28 form the main eligibility group

The notification requires a degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. The final result must have been declared on or before August 21, 2026. Candidates must be able to produce the mark sheet or degree record later.

The general age range is 20 to 28 years as of August 1, 2026. The notice translates that into a birth-date band from August 2, 1998 through August 1, 2006, both dates inclusive. ## Preliminary and main examinations are separately timed

The preliminary examination has 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes: English Language has 30 questions, Numerical Ability 35 and Reasoning Ability 35. Each test is separately timed for 20 minutes, and candidates must clear the cut-off IBPS sets in each test.
